NEW AT EARTH TOOLS! Produced by the Austrian company Organic Tools, the Fruit & Nut Harvester is designed to pick up fruits and nuts off the ground efficiently on a small scale. Battery-powered, this machine is quiet, emissions-free, and light-weight (less than 70 lbs.).
Comes standard as a fruit harvesting machine; an optional nut-shield can be added to handle nut harvest. Flexible, food-grade plastic “fins” on the collection roller pick the crop up off the ground. Although it is relatively gentle in it’s collection of crop, you likely wouldn’t want to use it for fruit that would be marketed “fresh”…it is more for picking up apples, pears, etc. that will be used for cider or processed in some way. Harvest rates are up to 2000 lbs of fruit or 800 pounds of nuts per hour.
The Harvester is not “self-propelled”, but it rolls easily on large bicycle-type wheels. Handles rough terrain easily, and up to 50% slopes. It is equipped with a “grass brush” that catches roughly 75% of the grass / leaves that get picked up. Does NOT require grass to be mowed to “lawn height”…it quite effectively picks up crops out of 6” tall grass. Also has a guard / cutter to prevent wrapping of long grass around the collection rotor.
The power system is simple: It is designed to be powered by any cordless drill, and runs off the drill battery. Run time will depend on whatever Amp-Hour battery size your drill is equipped with.

NOW AVAILABLE: The Organic Tools “Sortier” Sorting Table”
The perfect companion for the Fruit & Nut Harvester! The strong, lightweight aluminum table perfectly accommodates the size of the plastic crates that come with the Harvester. It comes with 20 “slats” on the surface of the table, which provide “gaps” between the slats suitable for fruit crops…as fruit or nuts are dumped onto the table, any leaves / chaff that was picked up with it will fall through the slats. If Nut Crops are being harvested, a kit of 20 additional slats can be purchased to make the “gaps” smaller. (NOTE: The extra plastic crates in the picture with the Table are NOT included with the Table…they are sold separately.)
