Another Earth Tools “First”!! By popular demand, we got the Caravaggi company of Italy to produce a Lawn & Leaf blower to fit our walk-behind tractors…so yet another outdoor chore can be performed by the same engine & powertrain. PLUS, this blower has the advantage of being “self-propelled”, unlike most blowers on the market!
A unique feature of this blower is that the air output chute is instantly adjustable (with one locking-screw) within a 200-degree rotation (MORE than 180 degrees).
This unit is made in Indiana, and was originally designed to be towed behind a lawn tractor or ATV. We have adapted it to tow behind a walk-behind tractor (pictured with Grillo model G110). It features 24 heat-treated “spikes”, which penetrate up to 3” deep, pulling out “plugs” to provide aeration and better water penetration for your lawn.
Working width is 40”; Maximum coring depth 3”.
This unit is manufactured in England specifically to fit BCS walk-behind tractors 11hp and up (pictured with BCS model 739). It features 48 swinging, reversible, hardened-steel blades, which have a “fish-tail” shape for long life. Blades are spaced for maximum coverage on each pass. The full-width roller in the front is fully adjustable to dictate blade depth, and the unit also has an oscillating swivel-joint in the PTO input shaft to allow the dethatcher to follow ground contours independently of the tractor axle.
Typical of all the tools we carry from R2 Rinaldi, this is a very well-built implement. This seeder / spreader is designed for seeding lawns, cover-crop, or other full-width dense seeding operations OR it can be used as a drop-spreader of granulated fertilizer or similar material. It features an expanded-mesh roller in the rear, which helps press the seed / fertilizer into the soil a bit and also drives the agitator shaft in the hopper via a no-slippage roller chain.
This heavy-duty PTO powered spreader mounts to a walk-behind tractor in the Front-PTO mode and has a centrifugal rotary spreader below the hopper (much like the spreader on the back of a salt-spreading truck for roadways). It is designed to handle granulated fertilizer, lime, salt, sand or any such dry material.
Spreading coverage is adjustable in width by adjusting a deflector on either side of the rotor which allows coverage of as little as 30 inches width and as much as 12 feet (there is a permanent deflector behind the rotor which keeps material from being thrown back on the underside of the tractor and the operator).
