Warranty on spare parts:

If tractor or implement the part/s are installed on is out of warranty: 90 days from date of purchase. Warranty on Used Equipment/Parts:

There is no Manufacturers warranty on used equipment, but Earth Tools warrants all used goods it sells for a minimum of 30 days for parts / tools and 90 days for equipment (tractors or implements). Longer warranties on some used goods may apply for certain items, if so, it will be specified on the sales receipt/invoice from Earth Tools.

All warranties cover parts and labor during the specified warranty period. Shipping charges are typically NOT covered under warranty, but in the event of a warrantable failure, Earth Tools MAY absorb a portion of shipping costs, according to the following schedule:

A. If you purchased the equipment directly from Earth Tools: Earth Tools will pay shipping costs to get warranty replacement parts to the customer, and shipping costs to get defective goods back from customer, if needed. In the event that the customer is unable to perform the repair, and an entire tractor or implement needs to be shipped back to Earth Tools for warranty repair: Even though the equipment manufacturer does not cover any shipping costs at all, Earth Tools will cover shipping costs on the item ONE WAY: to Earth Tools. Customer is responsible for shipping costs incurred getting the repaired item back to the customer, which shipping costs shall be billed at Earth Tools cost, with no handling fees.

B. If you purchased the equipment from another Dealer, who purchased it from Earth Tools: Earth Tools will pay shipping costs to get warranty replacement parts to that Dealer, and shipping costs to get defective goods back from the Dealer. (In this situation, there should be no reason to have to bring an entire tractor or implement back to Earth Tools, since any Dealer who purchases products from us should have the necessary technical skills to repair it in the event of a failure.) Earth Tools is not responsible for any costs incurred by the customer in getting any parts / equipment to or from the Dealer.

C. If you purchased BCS-Brand equipment from another Dealer, who did NOT purchase it from Earth Tools: Earth Tools can still process a warranty repair, if the customer can provide proof-of-purchase showing that the equipment was purchased new by that customer, and is still within the factory-specified warranty period. Customer is responsible for all shipping & handling fees.

ALL WARRANTIES ARE TO ORIGINAL PURCHASER ONLY

CONSULTING FEES:

For many years, Earth Tools has not charged consulting fees, even though being the foremost experts on walk-behind tractors, we could easily justify doing so (and over the years, several of our own customers have mentioned that we SHOULD charge for consulting, because we know our stuff so well!). Now, however, because of the increasing demands on our time, we have no choice but to begin the practice of reserving the right to charge consulting fees (for technical advice, spare part identification, application information, etc.), based on the following schedule:

A. If you purchased the equipment, or are in the process of purchasing equipment directly from Earth Tools: Consulting fees are WAIVED. To all customers who purchase directly from us, we offer FREE technical and application consulting (within reason…for example, if you get a new piece of equipment from us and are wondering how to use it, please READ THE OWNERS MANUAL BEFORE you call us for advice or instructions!!).

B. If you purchased the equipment from another Dealer, who purchased it from Earth Tools: Earth Tools will provide free consultation to the Dealer. If the customer contacts Earth Tools directly, Earth Tools reserves the right to charge consultation fees.

C. If you purchased the equipment from another Dealer, who did NOT purchase it from Earth Tools: Earth Tools reserves the right to charge consultation fees. As much as we would like to help everybody ‘for free’, the fact is that the demands on our time are too great to be able to help folks ‘for free’ who chose to purchase from another dealer. (Some exemptions may apply, for example: If the original dealer is out of business; or if the equipment was purchased “used” from a private party, etc.)
