Molon Side-delivery Hayrake / Tedder
The MOLON brand hayrake/tedder is PTO-driven, so it has plenty of power to move a large amount of hay quickly and sweep the ground clean. The spring-loaded tines are mounted to super-heavy-duty belts, which have a 30+ year lifespan (in fact, since we started using & selling these rakes in 1983, we have NEVER had to replace a belt!). Fully adjustable height of tines make it adaptable to any situation. In fact, when lowered all the way, the tines will de-thatch a lawn, or can be used to lightly “scarify” the ground prior to seeding. This rake makes perfect size windrows for our Hay Baler, or you can rake a plot of hay into a central ‘haystack’ for easy forking into a vehicle as loose hay. It also works very well as a tedder (spreads the windrows of hay back out to dry in case it gets wet before baling) - - it takes about 20 seconds to convert from a rake to a tedder or back again; just one simple frame adjustment.
40" single-belt version on BCS tractor
We offer two versions: A 40”-wide version with a single belt, and a 60”-wide version with two belts. The 40” is suitable for small areas and narrow spacings (for example, we sell several of the 40” models for raking pine needles in between pine-tree plantation rows), but the stronger frame, heavier tines, and stronger drive system make the 60” the more durable and better-selling model overall for hay operations.
The front wheels of the rake are controlled by a steering system to precisely guide the machine; the steering lever protrudes back over tractor to operator. Raking height is adjustable by either screw-clamps (on 40” version) or an adjustment lever at the operator position (60” version). We can also special-order other sizes…the MOLON company of Italy also produces the single-belt rake in a 48” size, and they produce the 2-belt model in 48” and 72” widths –Contact us for prices.
NOTE REGARDING SHIPPING: To save our customers money and to reduce the chances of damage in transit (fully assembled, they are so large, they would cost considerably more to ship), these units are shipped not-quite-fully assembled …some steering control linkage and height-adjustment linkage will need to be installed (cotter pins, 1 snap ring, and a few bolts)…figure on 20 - 30 minutes for assembly.
